I was thinking about an ideal learning scenario and came to the conclusion that it would start with curiosity, really wanting to find out about something, heading off on the hunt, finding out all you could about the topic, sorting and analysing what you had found and then finally producing something new from it all.
In other words:
Being able to pose powerful questions
Knowing where and how to search for information
Understanding what to include and what to leave out
Creatively remodelling the information
